Pupil Leadership
Pupil Leadership at Eaves gives children the chance to take an active role in shaping school life and supporting their classmates. Our pupil leaders help share ideas, organise events, promote positive behaviour, and make sure everyone’s voice is heard. They work together to solve problems, represent their classes, and set a good example throughout the school. By taking on these responsibilities, pupils develop confidence, teamwork, communication skills, and a strong sense of pride in our Eaves community. Our pupils readily take on leadership roles: Head and Deputy Leaders, our Junior Leadership Team, Subject Ambassadors, B's Buddies, Safety and Environment Officers, Lunchtime Leaders and our WIBS (Wellbeing, Inclusion and Belonging in school officers) contribute to our direction with confidence and success. We are very proud of them; they are a strength and credit to Eaves.

Year 6 Buddies
Our Year 6 Buddies play a special role in supporting our Reception children as they settle into school life. Throughout the year, they build warm, positive relationships with the youngest members of our community, offering guidance, friendship and a reassuring presence.
At lunchtimes, the Buddies are on hand to help Reception pupils navigate routines, find friends to play with and ensure everyone feels included and confident in the playground. They have also accompanied the children on school visits, providing an extra layer of support and encouragement during new experiences outside the classroom.
Across the year, our Year 6 Buddies have led and joined a variety of learning workshops, sharing stories, practising early skills and taking part in creative activities together. Their enthusiasm and care make a real difference, helping Reception children develop independence while fostering a strong sense of belonging within our school.
