Eaves PGTA- Parents, Teachers, Grandparents Association

We have an active PGTA at Eaves and are very proud of the work that they do. Out PGTA is made up of Parents, Grandparents and Teacher volunteers to raise money for school.

Here are the new developments on the front playground using PGTA Colour Run funds!

Message from our PGTA

As a group of committed parents, relatives and staff, we volunteer together to support school in a bid to enrich the learning journey of our children. All money raised is donated back into school to benefit all of our children.

Throughout the school year we hold various events to boost fundraising. These events take the form of discos, movie nights and craft events. We try to hold chocolate bingo twice a year – which is always a very popular event! Our summer fayre see families, past and present, join together for festival fun, whilst our Christmas shopping evening encourages a festive fayre of goodies and fun for all to enjoy. Even Santa calls into school on Christmas Party Day to deliver goodies for all classes to enjoy!

A new, and very popular event this year brought together a festival of colour to help raise funds for much needed improvements to our Early Years and Key Stage 1 playgrounds. Children, staff and families enjoyed the opportunity to share our colour-run course - which all of our children (and grown-ups) thoroughly enjoyed! The children are now loving the improvements already made, with more still to come.

Over the past couple of years, some of the things we have supported include:

· Geography resources (globes for each class)

· DT resources (glue gun replacements)

· Science Club resources

· Choir coach travel to events

· EYFS equipment

· WIBS – ‘No Outsiders’ membership and resources to support initiative

· Donation to each class towards a class trip, workshop or experience to accompany their curriculum learning

· End of school ‘hoodies’ for all Y6 children

· For the past few years we fund a visiting pantomime

· New equipment for our Reception classroom and outside provision areas

· Coaches to PGL residential

· Coach travel to the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall for the whole school

If you are interested in supporting our PGTA – no matter how much or little time you can commit, every bit helps, please contact our chairperson. She can be reached via email at eaves.pgta@gmail.com, alternatively, contact the school office and they will be happy to put you in contact with us!
