On 24th January 2016 a group of children form Year 4 took part in the Highland Games sports competition. This competed in a range of challenges including tossing the caber, shot put, sprinting and long jump. From over 15 schools who took part, Eaves came 3rd and walked away with the bronze medal!!! Well done!!!
16.6.2016- some of our Year 1 and 2 children took part in a KS1 multiskills competition at Sutton Academy. They took part in a range of game: welly throwing, javelin, obstacle courses, beanbag throwing, egg and spoon, and a relay competition. The children worked really hard in their teams.
The overall results were:
1st- Newton 82 points
2nd- Queens Park 75 points
3rd- Blackbrook St Marys 74 points
4th- Eaves 73 points
5th- Carr Mill 72 points
6th- Merton Bank 70 points
26.5.2016- Some of our Year 5 children took part in a touch rugby competition at St John Vianney.
They really enjoyed trying a new sport and working with their friends.
Children from KS1 and KS2 had a fantastic sport day at Eaves. There were lots of fun events and the children worked really hard. They encouraged their friends from the sidelines and luckily it didn't rain! Thank you to all the parents who came along to support our children!
Here are the results from the KS2 events:
11.5.2016- Children from Year 3 took part in a LFC football tournament at the LFC academy in Kirkby. They played against lots of schools from across Merseyside and showed off some great skills.
Luke also won the prize for goal of the tournament!
30.3.2016- Children from Year 3 took part in a network football competition at Merton Bank Primary school. They worked really well as a team and scored some great goals. Well done!
17.3.2016- 4 children from Years 4 and 5 took part in a badminton competition at Hope Academy. They played against children from different schools within our network. They worked really hard and showed off some impressive skills. Well done to all involved!
On 11th February children from Year 3 and 4 took park in a network benchball competition at Queens Park Primary. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and showed excellent team spirit.
On 2nd February, we had a special visit from Paralympic sprinter Katrina Hart. Katrina won gold at the London 2012 Paralympic games and has had success in various other competitions. The children had circuit training and then a question and answer session in the hall. We had a fantastic day and Katrina was inspiring. She epitomised everything Eaves stands for, and showed how her career has been build on resilience and risk tasking.
On 26th January a group of Y4 children competed in the Highland games at Lansbury Bridge. They had long jump events and tossing the caber. The children had lots of fun, and proved very successful. We finished in 1st place and won the trophy!!!! Well done to all involved!
