Life in Year 4

Year 4 is full of excitement, curiosity and variety! In Year 4, the children have opportunities develop lots of skills and talents ranging from playing the tenor horn, creating our own bread-based product and participating in many sporting activities. We explore a range of varied texts in English to support our writing such as Leon and the Place Between by Graham Barker Smith andĀ Escape from Pompeii by Christina Balit. Ā Our year is very busy with learning including about the Romans, Florida and our feelings through our PATHS lessons. Each day we are developing our reading, writing and mathematical skills and knowledge, building on our previous learning. Throughout the week, we cover a range of foundation subjects such as Art, Design Technology, Geography and Spanish.

During our Friday morning music lesson, we love learning to play our tenor horns! We are now performing, playing the instruments with musical accompaniment and developing our knowledge of other brass instruments too.
